GATHER Consulting aims
to bring people and ideas together. Our expertise includes philanthropic and Board support, leadership development strategy, early childhood education, and retreat design…
Through GATHER, Seth provides the following consulting services to clients:
Support for Philanthropists and Board Members - Seth can help with hands-on board governance support and education, strategic grant-making, and grants management to individuals, families, nonprofits and foundations. GATHER can help create governance documents, standards and diagnostic tools to enhance board culture, and help you become more strategic in your grant-making.
Leadership and Talent Development - Seth can help you design fellowships and implement leadership investment strategies, and can be hired as a coach and mentor to executives and senior leadership. GATHER can help you create a new leadership investment strategy, or start a new fellowship program for youth, educators and nonprofit leaders.
Gatherings and Retreats - Seth can help design and facilitate learning experiences for boards and staff, network cross-sector professionals and volunteer leaders for personal and professional growth. In its role as network weaver, GATHER creates a dynamic, inclusive, and wellness-centered convening for your stakeholders.
Seth’s recent professional development journey includes group leadership coaching from the Awesome Institute; Leadership Fundamentals at the Center for Creative Leadership; and the New Grantmakers Initiative at the Northern California Grantmakers. He is a junkie for philanthropy conferences and has been spotted at Grantmakers for Effective Organizations’ annual conference, Philanthropy Forum’s K-12 Conference, and is an advisor to Fund the People and a member of the Leadership Funders Group.
Leading Edge - Lead Consultant, Lay Leadership Initiative
Mindy Rogers - Board Consultant and Philanthropy Advisor
Seth is a creative, enthusiastic thought partner. He is always thinking about who he can connect, cares deeply about issues of impact, and works equally well on leadership and board strategy as well as on the details of project management. He was a trusted member of our Foundation team, with exceptional emotional intelligence, and thrived at board meetings, site visits and working with other philanthropists. Seth is a ‘Yes, and…’ kind of guy and we will miss having him around!
